Considerate Cops Replace Boy’s Stolen Toy
Police in Tempe, Arizona don’t just “serve and protect”, they also have a huge heart, especially after they gifted a toy tractor to a 4-year-old boy.
On 8 April, Peter Philbrook mentioned on Facebook that his 4-year-old son’s battery-operated tractor – over which the two had bonded – had been stolen from the family’s apartment, and would sell whatever was necessary to list a reward.
An officer’s wife saw the post then shared the news with her husband, Sergeant Andrew Brooks, resulting in him and his colleagues launching a hunt for the plaything.
When the officers hit a dead-end, they turned to the local Walmart and police department for financial aid to buy Gerald some new wheels.
On Saturday, 24 April, the people in blue showed up at Philbrook’s residence and presented the gift to the young lad.
Gerald said: “Thank you. This is … whoa [sic]. This is exactly cooler than my other one. Wow.”
